The Beach Boys' Party! album was the band's fourth and final Capitol Records release of the 1960s and was produced by Terry Melcher, who had previously produced their 1960 album Surfin'.
As the 50th anniversary approaches, Brian Wilson, Mike Love and Al Jardine are also planning anniversary events for this time, too. Brian Wilson will be doing a run of shows at the Livenation in Costa Mesa, CA on Nov. 14 and 15. He will be back at the Livenation on Dec. 19, 20 and 21 for the 50th anniversary of Pet Sounds. Mike Love will be performing in Washington, D.C. on Nov. 16, and Al Jardine will be playing with the Beach Boys at Branch point in Pittsburg, PA on Dec. 28 and 29.Â
