These are recordings from a Jan. 2, 1969, recording of The Concert for Bangladesh at the Albert Hall. This concert was in response to the recent Bangladesh Genocides and represented a show of support from musicians and the public to help bring an end to the conflict in Bangladesh. Joni was asked to do a couple of songs and she played two new songs: "Chelsea Morning" and a song from her new album. Both were well received and the songs still are requested when performed. This bootleg recording is of the first of the two new songs. The quality is good and I imagine it was someone that was in the audience recorded it - as howling would not be ammenable if recording for broadcast. The audience is at their peak as people are applauding and cheering when Joni comes on stage.

However, Syed Jawad Naqvi has denied that he has received any support from Iran. In the opening ceremony of Jamia Urwatu Wusqa he said that this project is fully supported by local pakistani people. He said that none of his projects is supported by Iran or any other country and not a single penny has been received from outside Pakistan. d2c66b5586
