The film revolves around the life of Singham; a cop, who is on his last legs. His career in the Force has been on a downward spiral, and he has to make a tough decision: either resign or get his wife killed to save his career. When the latter is suggested, Singham puts everything on the line in a most unorthodox way. He embarks on a wild kill-or-be-killed mission that will seal his fate.
This movie is an action movie that has no catch. The story is fresh with a really nice pace. Shankar was expected to produce a movie, but he gives a big budget to Ajay Devgan (who was this time very eager to do a full length role, what he did not get), and because of this he gave the opportunity to director V. V. Vinayak to make this movie an exciting one.
Ajay’s attempts to make the character look fresh was a big plus in this movie, and he looked really good. His performance gives a nice change to the characters that he normally plays. However, the biggest plus was his action scenes. These are the kind of scenes that even a seasoned actor like Ajay can’t perform. The choreography of these scenes were very sharp, and the director must be congratulated for coming up with such sharpness. The director used a new director for this movie and this guy must be praised for a job that is really good. Shankar should consider this guy’s name, as he must be a new star in the Indian cinema industry.
The background score of the movie is a big plus, and it really made the movie more exciting. The sound effects are impressive as well. The editing of this movie is good as well, and the changes that are made in the story are really important. The directors should be really happy with the result. The only thing that was missing in this movie is the background music, as the music in the background is very poor. This caused the movie to lose a bit of focus.
The dialogues were really good, and some of the dialogues were really funny. I liked the lines spoken by Vijay Raghavendra, mainly from the song, ‘Pooja’. This is the best song in the movie. The other songs that are present in the movie were okay.
